Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions outline the responsibilities and liabilities of Uncharted Afghanistan (referred to as "we," "us," or "our") and the customer (referred to as "you"). Uncharted Afghanistan is registered as a company based in Kabul, Afghanistan with the following details:

Please carefully read and understand these terms.

Booking Policy

A 20% deposit of the total cost is required upon booking confirmation for most tours. The remaining balance is due sixty (60) days before the start of the tour. Payments are made directly as a bank transfer or via Wise. Bank and Wise details are released upon booking.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and become effective on the date of receipt by us.

Cancellation by Customers

Deposit Refunds:

Deposits are non-refundable if a trip is canceled by customers.

Payment Refunds:

In the case that customers cancel the following applies:

Within 30-60 days before the scheduled trip: Customers will receive 75% of the payment excluding the deposit.

Within 3 weeks before the scheduled trip: Customers will receive 50% of the payment, excluding the deposit.

Within 2 weeks before the scheduled trip: No refunds can be issued.

Exceptional Circumstances:

Unforeseen emergencies and exceptional circumstances may arise, which could warrant special consideration. In such cases, we encourage customers to promptly contact us to discuss their situation. Refund or credit decisions in exceptional circumstances will be made on a case-by-case basis, with the aim of achieving a fair and equitable resolution.

Refund Process:

To request a refund, customers must submit a written request to unchartedafghanistan@gmail.com with booking details and the reason for cancellation. Refunds, when applicable, will be processed within a reasonable time, typically within 30 days from the date of the request.

Note: Refund amounts may be subject to deductions for any transaction charges associated with the refund process.

In case of non-refundable costs and expenses incurred by the company (e.g., flight bookings and hotel reservations), these will be deducted from any refund due to the customer.

If you must leave the tour early due to unforeseen circumstances, you are responsible for any additional costs incurred.

Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to cancel a tour in the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as flight cancellations, civil or political unrest, or "force majeure." We will notify you promptly of any changes and offer alternative options or a full refund including the deposit.

We are not liable for any additional travel or related expenses resulting from changes or cancellations beyond our control.

Force Majeure

Force majeure events, unavoidable events, inevitable accidents or circumstances beyond our control may result in tour changes or cancellations. If such events occur and prevent the tour's continuation, you will be entitled to a refund minus reasonable costs incurred by us.

Passports & Visas

It is your responsibility to ensure you have a valid visa for the destination you are traveling to, where required. We can provide a letter of invitation, support and advice, but visa regulations may change, so verify with your government and the nearest Embassy of the destination country.

In the event of a visa refusal, we will grant a refund, provided you have provided accurate information. We are not responsible for any travel costs to the departure location.

Intentional misrepresentation for entry into our destination will result in forfeiture of any deposit paid.

COVID-19

Uncharted Afghanistan is not liable for any extra costs related to COVID-19 treatment or additional hotel expenses. Clients are responsible for taking precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 while travelling.

Travel Insurance

We recommend all clients obtain sufficient travel insurance covering various risks, including medical, cancellation, curtailment, lost possessions, and personal liability. Any claims must be directed toward your insurers.

Local Laws

Clients must adhere to local laws and regulations at all times. We are not responsible for consequences resulting from any breach of local laws.

Clients are also required to follow Uncharted Afghanistan's guidance and company rules. We reserve the right to expel customers who refuse to comply with our policies without a refund.

Tour Itinerary

Itineraries may change due to unforeseen events, but we will make every effort to maintain the tour's overall experience. Uncharted Afghanistan reserves the right to modify itineraries on a case-by-case basis, provide suitable replacements, and adjust transportation modes based on availability.

Non-Liability for Changes

Uncharted Afghanistan reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time and will notify clients of any changes. Price quotations are subject to change without notice until a booking is confirmed.

We may alter itineraries, transportation modes, and ticketing based on availability. There is no guarantee that transport will depart at specified times.

No refunds or credits will be issued for uncompleted portions of a tour or abandoned scheduled tours.

Acceptance of Risk

By participating in our tours, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks involved, including those associated with travel to Afghanistan. You understand and agree to these risks under your own free will.

Tour Payment

The advertised tour price and accepted currencies may change until the balance has been paid by the customer. We reserve the right to alter the tour price and currency acceptance.

Privacy Policy

Our privacy policy applies to information collected through our website and does not cover offline information collection.

Security

We prioritize the security and confidentiality of your personal information. We use encryption technology and secure servers to protect your data during transmission. Email communication is not considered secure for transmitting credit card information.
